Gamification is a powerful approach to facilitate innovation and entrepreneurship. But it is laborious, and it’s difficult to do it right unless you can build on proven practices. We developed a collection of design patterns to facilitate gamification for innovation and training in this domain. We explored the existing literature and hundreds of innovation games to identify 36 design patterns, each of them describing the solution to a recurring problem in game design. In this video, we review how HMKW University of Applied Sciences students used the collection of design patterns to address the challenge: “How might we mainstream scenario management for sustainable healthcare through gamification?”
